It's After Christmas, So I Thought I'd Share ThanksgivingPhotos

Better late than never!

Here's a small glimpse into Buck Family Thanksgiving 2011. There are no photographs of the dinner, so you would never know that my Grammy, the glorious Jean Hilegass, my Grampop, the marvelous Jack Hillegass, and my great aunt and uncle the delightful Don Hunsberger and positively great Polly Hunsberger were in attendance. So, sorry, guys. You were there. I saw you. It was real. We had fun. You'll be in more photographs in the future, I promise. I meant to chronicle this event and then... wait... is that pie? Sweet potatoes? GREEN BEANS? Oh my god you made green bean casserole and there is cranberry sauce?

You get the idea.

The people you DO see are my mom, the just fabulous Joan Buck, my dad, the tiggerific Bob Buck, my sister, the adorable Julianna, and Danny. He's that guy I date. Dashing, devastatingly wonderful Danny. ...Oh, and me. I'm the one with the horse dress.

Happy Holidays.

Fast

My old computer took more than three hours to upload 150 photos.  I just uploaded over 3,000 in less than five minutes.  Oh my god.  This thing is fast.

Here's a sampling of some of my work from over the past many monthes.  I've been almost exclusively been posting phone shots since September, since getting pictures off of my digital camera has been excruciating.  Taking photographs with my digital camera hasn't been rewarding, since I know that they will sit on that memory stick, untouched, unshared, and unedited.  So, I haven't been doing it.

I also noticed, while I was going through these, that I'm starting to develop a style.  That's kind of neat.  Now I have to start to expand, break, tweak, and just generally make it better.

A world of possibility has just been opened.  I'm so happy.

Enjoy!

Inspiration Fridays: Cold Weather Style

I like fashion.  I've always liked fashion.  When I was younger, I wasn't particularly good at it, but, in recent years, I've gotten much better.  I love looking at photographs of people wearing creative and adorable outfits, and with the weather achieving a level of cold that prohibits short sleeves, I'm getting really into long-sleeved dresses.  As a matter of fact, I'm wearing one right now.

So, here are some cute fall/winter appropriate outfits from some of my favourite bloggers.  I hope that they inspire you to dress cute... it has worked for me!

It's Madeline, It's Madeline

Madeline was one of my all-time favourite cartoon characters as a kid.  She was adorable, French, stylish, and loved helping people.  Mostly, though, she was French.  And I thought that was unbelievably cool.  Come to think of it, I still do.
So, when Julianna told me that she was dressing up as Madeline for Halloween... I made her pose for me.  Honestly, she enjoyed it, I didn't really make her.  She did an amazing job!  Enjoy :)
WHY IS SHE SO PRETTY?
And... it's Genevieve!

"In an old house in Paris that was covered with vines
lived twelve little girls in two straight lines.
In two straight lines they broke their bread
and brushed their teeth and went to bed.
They smiled at the good
and frowned at the bad
and sometimes they were very sad.
They left the house at half past nine
in two straight lines in rain or shine
— the smallest one was Madeline."

WHEE!!
