Arrival Taco Luncheon

Mexican food is the bomb diggity.  Just sayin'.  The first thing we do, when we get to Austin, usually, is go and get Mexican food.  Our Christmas jaunt kept to the tradition with a trip to Baby Acupulco's for tacos, chips and salsa, some steaming hot coffee, and a chance to eat outdoors.  There is some decent Mexican grub to be found in New York City- two places near home in Brooklyn, The Flatbush Latin Grill, and Don Burrito, never disappoint.   Manhattan Mexican in general is pretty disappointing.  Tex-Mex in the Texas is always spicier, and more satisfying.

Austin Action

 Danny and I took another trip to Austin, Texas this summer, and it was a fantastic time.  That sounds kind of trite and silly, but really, it was an excellent and perfectly timed vacation.  I had a blast.  We stayed up way too late watching inexpensive rock bands, ate amazing Mexican food from trucks, enjoyed super-neon snowcones, and played fourteen hour long sessions of Exalted, this great pen and paper based rpg.  Yeah, it's nerdy, but everyone wants to have superpowers.  I call it imagination for adults.  Kind of like acting... but you can win.
