I Heart Flowers

Once again, if you haven't noticed.  I.  LOVEFlowers.  I think they are nature's reminder that the world is a happy and lovely place.  It's incredible the colors, shapes, and textures hat can be found in the natural world.  The school I went to, Stella Adler Studio, was very close to the wholesale flower district in Manhattan.  These were taken some day in early August when I messed up my schedule and accidentally showed up for class an hour early.

Hydrangeaology

Hydrangeas are so cool.  Cool doesn't even cut it- they are exquisite.  Depending upon the amount of acidity in the soil, they range from blue to pink!  And, when soil is a mix of acid and base, they end up being a mix of colors, like the above specimen.  How wonderful!  This plant is in someone's front yard in Bed-Stuy.  I'm so jealous.  Note to self- once I get a front yard, get a hydrangea bush.
