Cavities

When I went to see the Yankees play at Yankee Stadium about a month and a half ago, this man was one of the many vendors traveling up and down the bleachers, selling snacks.  His ware was cotton candy.  His advertising scheme; "Cavities!!  Get your cavities here!!"

Vinny's

I love street vendors.  I think that they are generally fantastic.  Food off of a cart just has a certain appeal- you watch them toss your falafel on the hot plate, or pull that pretzel out of the murky water, or pour some hot sauce on your mango slices and your day gets significantly better.  But, when that street food is candy, life is just fantastic.  This seems to be a trend in New York City now- dessert and candy trucks and carts seem to be popping up everywhere.  Ice cream, particularly Mr. Softee has been around forever, but now it's cupcakes and waffles, and, here at Vinny's in Little Italy, cotton candy and nougat!  I actually bought myself a cannoli from another outdoor dessert stand.
